When people see our Christmas tree, they usually note the absence of gifts. There’s a simple reason for this and his name is Buddy.
Buddy is our seven year-old kitty cat and he has declared the underside of the tree as his domain. He has also claimed the tree skirt as his private property. Since he is just so darn cute, we’re inclined to let him have it that way.
In the past few years, our tradition has become to let him have his favorite napping place and hold off on putting the gifts out until Christmas morning. So far, that plan has worked fine. We’ll have to see if the trend continues this year.
